Kharkhiraa, Turgen mountain range hiking, and trekking

You are able to travel around the natural sights such as Uvs lake national park, “Buurug del” which is the most northern edge of the deserts of the world, Golden Sand, the range of Munkh  Kharkhiraa and Turgen Mountains and all types of natural sites. Also you can see some rock scripts of Stone age , men stones of Turcik age,ancient  ruin of Togs Buyant Khiid, great sand dunes,  steppe and thick wooded forest, eternal snow caps of mountains,  small lakes and oasis of Gobi region , plateau  and  rare plants and  some animal that protected by government and written in the Mongolian Red Book.

Day 1

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast at the restaurant early in the morning and fly by local flight from Ulaanbaatar to Ulaangom. When arrive in Ulaangom start driving to Uvs lake. It will be very relaxing to swim in the lake and possible to burn your skin on the lakeshore. Overnight in tent.

Day 3

Today our route is Uvs Lake-Bayannuur-Urtbulag’s head, its about 130 km’s. We are going to travel around the Boorog Del the Northest edge of the deserts in the world and hiking around the lakeshore of the lake Bayannuur which is lying among the sand dunes of gobi and continue walking until the top of a beautiful oasis of Urt Bulag river. The river  Urt Bulag comes under the sand dunes. Overnight in tent.

Day 4

Urt Bulag-Golden Sand-Baganuur valley, 20 km for hiking, 50km for driving.
Today we are hiking around sand dunes, the shore of lake Baynnuur and Golden Sand dunes. Overnight in tent

Day 5

Baganuur-DavaaUliastai-khukh, 16km for hiking, 200km for driving. Today we are traveling around gobi desert till forestland including all types of zones of natural. First, we drive to the place where we start hiking and meet our local guides with camels and they will carry our luggage. Then walking up to the mountain  Kharkhiraa is surrounded by trees in the one side, rocks in the other side, and enjoy the snow-capped high mountains and carry on walking down to Khukh Nuur in the camp. Overnight in tent

Day 6

Route:  Khukh Nuur-Tosguurt, 16km to hike. Today we travel around the forest and wilderness to see how Mongolian nomads herd their livestock in the wild nature and meet their family.

Day 7

Route: Tosguurt-EhenKhoroo-Tsagaan Salaa. 15km to hike. Today we walk down through the fast current of stream starts from the snow-capped mountains of Kharkhiraa and Turgen. Overnight in tent.

Day 8

Route: Tsagaan Salaa-Turgeniy Eh-Tsagaan Salaa, 18km to walk. Today we are going to reach South Turgens snow-capped mountains and able to see a waterfall comes from the high rock, lakes in the wilderness and rare plants and flowers and some protected animals. Overnight in tent.

Day 9

Route: Tsagaan Salaa-Olon Nuuryn Hutul-Huisen khar. 20km to hike. Today we travel among the eternal snow caps of mountains of Kharkhiraa and Turgen. When you hiking you can see Ovoo (dump of rock with blue scarp  happens on mountaintop or pass which is the symbol of mother earth  and they pray for it to wish good luck and good journey also they consider, it helps to come true their wishes) and how Mongolians pray for the nature and respect it. Also, you will see small and bigger 108 lakes in one valley and back side of Kharkhiraa and  Turgen Mountain. Overnight in tent.

Day 10

Route: Huisen Khar-Yamaat. 18km to hike. Today we pass the high mountain pass Named Ereesen that local nomads used to pass with Camel caravan to find a good postured place for many decades and able to see a Snow Leopard named mountain tiger and wild goat Ibex and will interest its high cliffs of rocky mountains of territory. In addition, this is the native land of the rare plants, flowers and endangered and protected animals in Mongolia. Overnight in tent

Day 11

Route: Yamaat- Yamaatyn Adag (adag means end). 15km to hike. Today we can see the sign of  Stone age people such as rock script when we moving down through river valley. Overnight in tent.

Day 12

Route: Yamaatyn Adag-OT tourist camp. 160km for driving. Today we will leave our local guides who used to help us to carry our luggage during the trip and have to say goodbye to them. Then we’ll meet our vehicles and move on the way to OT tourist camp. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 13

Route: OT tourist camp-Jivert-OT tourist camp. 60km for driving
Today we are going to see another part of the Turgen Mountain Range named Jivert Mountain also see a rock painting of Stone age, the oldest Larch Tree in the world and visit herds family and meet lifestyles. Overnight at ger camp.

Day 14

Day 15

Route: OT tourist camp-Ulaangom-Ulaanbaatar. 100km to drive, flight. Transfer to hotel from airport and rest. Dinner at restaurant and overnight at hotel.

Day 16

After having a breakfast we have a city tour today. The city tour includes Sukhbaatar Square, National historical museum, Zaisan hill, Gandan monastery and cashmere shopping. Mongolian Traditional Food for dinner at the restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Breakfast at the restaurant.  Depart to the airport. 25km driving.
